California will begin regulating emissions from ride-hail companies, sometime, soonish--and give them credit for bike-miles driven. Governor Brown signed that and several other livability bills.
Bills that make changes to the way regions set and enforce housing allocations, that expand exemptions from the California Environmental quality Act, and that affirm fair housing rules.
Building housing at BART stations should be a no-brainer, and BART has committed to it. But cities resist. A.B. 2923 would make it easier by giving BART authority to zone its lots rather than waiting for cities to do so.
