The Wilmington route wasn't long; the crowds weren't massive. Maybe that was just what the doctor ordered for the first CicLAvia festival since COVID canceled events planned for 2021.

Every third Wednesday of May, in communities all over the globe, people come together to ride in silence to honor and commemorate cyclists who have been killed on the road. The rides are solemn, sedate, and moving, and this year they will not be done in big groups.
